A secluded peninsula in Nice, France; a historic grand hotel; a boat ride around the French Riveria. M + E’s suite was all about an effortless holiday escape and the feeling of lounging by the sea with champagne & good company: classic, chic, and unbuttoned.
We made it sweet + personal with loads of hand-drawn elements — little illustrations on the details card, handwritten names, a loopy double frame, and the most precious illustration of the happy couple. We kept it classic with a clean and timeless aesthetic, spotlighting the grandness of the hotel in an intricate venue illustration printed on vellum, and adding a vintage European flair in every detail: an 18th century blockprint for a perfectly classic liner. A satin ribbon of forget-me-not blue, threaded through an antique brass label. An utterly lovely wax seal with a petit fleur-de-lis. Delicate vintage stamps that allude to a ride on the ocean. May we all be on holiday soon…
